Parents Praise The Arts in Stockton

See what parents are saying about The Arts in Stockton:

Our children have participated in a number of different programs at the Arts in Stockton and each time we have all been very impressed.  Our kids made things as simple as magnets to as extravagant as pottery.  They’ve been engaged in all different forms of art and mediums. They offer a great place to tap into the artistic side in our kids.   The teachers are all very patient, very cheerful, and very helpful throughout the programs.  Ultimately, our kids love to go here and we love that once they’re there, they have a better chance of reaching the potential of their imaginations. Jim W., Lambertville, NJ

All of my children have attended the Arts and have loved the summer programs as well as the fun birthday events. The Arts is a nice safe place nestled in nature and offers intelligent guidance so the kids experience the “fun” of art while also learning.  We plan on attending more sessions in the future and I wish to explore some adult classes as well. Hope B., New Hope

The Arts brings together a community of established artists to create a fun and inspiring creative experience. Each student is offered the opportunity to try new art forms and develop skills through ceramics, painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking & craft projects. Each week offers new activities, themes and art-making ideas. Limited class size allows for one-on-one attention to nurture and discover the creative talents in each individual.

The Arts upcoming summer camps for ages 4 thru 12 year olds offers full and half day weekly programs August 1-August 26.  Each camp session offers a variety of age appropriate art and craft activities and materials taught by instructors who share their own unique art making styles, specialties and expertise.  Campers also have the opportunity to enjoy summer fun with nature crafts, outdoor projects, walks, games and other recreational activities.

Teens will enjoy developing and refining their painting and drawing skills this summer July 25 thru July 29, 9:30-3:00.  Students will explore various techniques, materials & ideas used to create realistic and abstract paintings.  They will learn to stretch and prepare a canvas, all about color mixing, mark making and brush handling to create compositions of their personal vision.  Drawing skills will  be taught as a foundation to paintings.

The Arts is located at 21 Risler Street in Stockton, NJ.  For additional information and registration call 609-773-0207, or online
