The Amwell Church of the Brethren at 40 Sandbrook-Headquarters Road, Delaware Township, will observe “Friends’ Day” on Sunday, November 14, 10:30 AM. Educators, school support personnel, and the home school community will be honored for their important contributions in maintaining a strong and viable community. Amwell Church is particularly interested in such an emphasis because the Christian religion’s founder, Jesus Christ, was a great teacher and also because the Delaware Township culture was historically formed to a great extent around its little country schools over a period of 200 years.
Historic Amwell Church, now celebrating its 277th year, invites all teachers and school support personnel as well as all interested individuals to attend Friends’ Day service and a luncheon. All are welcome.
