This week Marilyn Cummings of the Delaware Township Historical Society and Francis Gavigan of East Amwell Township met with Pete Kinsella, Founder of the Hunterdon County Historical Alliance, to set the agenda for a meeting on January 16 at 9 AM at the Raritan Township Municipal Building to discuss historic bridge preservation in Hunterdon County. Ms. Cummings, Ms. Gavigan and others will give presentations about “recent experiences and lessons learned”, to be followed by Q&A from the public.
Dan Saunders, Director of the New Jersey Historic Preservation, will discuss “State and National Historic Registry Nomination for Hunterdon Historic Bridges”. Planner Frank Banisch will discuss “The Case for Scenic Byway / Crossroads of the Revolution Designation”. Freeholder Matt Holt will discuss “The County’s Role – What Now? Where do we go from here? Goals and Action Items”, followed by more Q&A.
Don Sherbloom will give an update on the Voight House in Clinton Township. Walter Choroszewski will discuss “Hunterdon County Characters: A Photo Documentary Proposal”.
The meeting will adjourn no later than 12:00 noon.
